Mitten: Pontiac’s Rebellion
In 1763, Chief Pontiac led a rebellion against the British occupation. Although his siege failed as the Native Americans returned to their families to prepare for the coming winter, it was part of a larger movement in which many forts were captured from the British. This edition outlines the rebellion, and discusses the capture of Fort Michilimackinac.
