Can You Dig It? Mining in Michigan
What does it take to be a successful miner? Visit the museum’s second floor to learn about Michigan’s mineral resources and our mining history. Try your hand at cookie mining as you discover what it takes to find Michigan’s mineral resources.
This program runs from 2:00 P.M. to 3:30 P.M. on October 27, 2011. Students meet in the Museum Education Room (first floor, east wing). This program is geared to children at a Kindergarten to 3rd grade level. Fee is $5 per student per class.
