Lest We Forget: Black Civil War Soldiers and Sailors in the Civil War

A special screening of excerpts from the inspiring documentary “Lest We Forget” by filmmaker Jeffrey O’Den will be shown. This inspiring documentary tells the story of the black soldiers and sailors who made history during the American Civil War, including the 102nd U.S. Colored Troops from Michigan. After the viewing, Mr. O’Den will be available for questions and answers.

Mr. Jeffrey O’Den is an Emmy-nominated writer, producer, and director. He is a member of the Detroit Historic Sites Committee, participant in the Michigan Sesquicentennial Civil War and official photographer and historian for the 102nd U.S. Colored Troop in Michigan.
