Huron Valley Civil War Sesquicentennial Commemoration

11:00 am:  Opening Ceremony with President & Mrs. Lincoln, 5th Michigan Regimental Band, Civil War Re-enactors, Custer and Soldiers, Sons of Union Veterans, American Legion Post 216, Am Vets, Masons and Knights of Columbus

All Day in Central Park:  Demonstrations, Displays, Children’s games, Story Tellers, Musicians, Civil War Enlistments and drills, Baking Contest,

4:00 pm:  1861 Civil War Era Wedding  Central Park

Historical Oak Grove, Highland and West Highland Cemeteries:  Honor the Civil War Veterans and learn about the lives of the veterans who are interred in these cemeteries. Stories of the Regiments, displays and photos. President Lincoln speech.

7:00 pm:  Civil War Ball.  To prepurchase tickets please call 248-807-1204.

Sunrise:  Service at Milford Central Park

8am – 12pm:  Pancake breakfast with Lincoln at Milford Fire Hall on Huron Street, Milford, MI.  $5.00 donation for adults and $4.00 donation for children.  To prepurchase tickets, please call 248-807-1204
