Charlton Park Civil War Muster
Hosted by Battery D, 2st Michigan Light Artillery, 7th Michigan Volunteer Infantry, Company B, 24th Michigan, 3rd Michigan Volunteer Infantry, 8th Michigan Medical, 5th Kentucky, and Barry County Parks. Confederate and Union Infantry, Cavalry, and Artillery units.
History comes alive on Saturday, July 17th and Sunday, July 18th at Historic Charlton Park! The Civil War Muster with hundreds of reenactors depicting Confederate and Union Infantry, Cavalry and Artillery units. Be a part of the history of America with authentic battles in the village that allows you to see and understand the fierce battles between the blue and grey. Shop on Sutler Row, play parlor games, watch a fashion show, see military demonstrations, participate in the country barn dance and enjoy the candle lantern tour in the evening. There’s a lot to do and see!
Visitors are encouraged to talk with the reenactors in their Civil War era clothing and see the authentic camp. The battles activities take place starting at 1 pm Saturday and 1:30 pm on Sunday. Saturday at 7:00 pm you are invited to come to the barn dance, and at 9:45 pm witness the night firing over the river with the candle lantern tour at 10 pm.
Admission is Adults $6.00, Kids $3.00 ages 5 – 12 years, 4 and under are free. Reenactor registration due in advance or fee charged to walk-ons. Reenactors can reserve buildings for use throughout the weekend.
