The Archives of Michigan welcomes the Northville Genealogical Society! We will be providing an orientation to both library material of the Abrams Foundation Historical Collection and original material of the Archives of Michigan. In addition to the orientation, individuals will be touring the facility including one of our vaults. This tour is presented by Kris Rzepczynski. Please meet us at 11 AM in the Archives of Michigan registration area on the 2nd floor of the east wing at the Michigan Historical Center. If you are interested in scheduling a tour and orientation for your own group please contact us at archives[at]michigan.gov. We do ask that you schedule this kind of presentation to ensure our best quality.
With so much genealogical content now available online for free, researchers don’t have to break the bank to find information on their ancestors. This program will explore several of the most popular free sites, including FamilySearch and Cyndi’s List, as well as a number of the lesser-known, yet equally valuable, tools. This program will be presented by Kris Rzepczynski, a Senior Archivist at the Archives of Michigan.
