The event commemorates American’s Civil War Sesquicentennial by learning Christmas traditions from that era. Meet interpreters portraying men who served at Fort Wayne, their Confederate counterparts and the civilians they left behind. Planning is already underway for the 2012 version of A Civil War Christmas. In honor of the 150th anniversary, we also are working on a story that will take you both to Fort Wayne during the holiday and also to Fredericksburg, Virginia to learn about the efforts of Michigan men serving in the van of the Army of the Potomac during the battle there.
